Symptoms of the week
Backache
Nasal congestion
Belly Bloom and Weight Gain:
Your baby bump is definitely growing at 19 weeks!
The average weight gain by this point is around 10-12 pounds, but remember, this is just an average. Every woman gains weight differently.
Don't stress about the number on the scale – focus on eating healthy foods that nourish both you and your baby.
Hormone Havoc (But with Some Shine!)
Pregnancy hormones can cause some not-so-pleasant symptoms, but there are some perks too!
You might be noticing your hair looking amazing – thicker, fuller, shinier, and stronger.
Plus, your nails might be growing like crazy.
Libido Changes: It's Personal
Changes in sexual desire during pregnancy are totally normal.
Some women experience an increase, while others experience a decrease.
It depends on many factors, not just hormones.
Talk openly with your partner about your needs and preferences.
Remember, intimacy goes beyond sex. Exploring other ways to connect can be just as fulfilling. If you have any concerns about intimacy or sexual health, talk to your doctor.
Many moms, nearly 70%, report feeling an increase in energy. You might also start to feel your baby's hiccups – a charming and entirely normal experience”

What's happening right now?
Belly Bump Bonanza:
Your baby bump is really taking shape at 19 weeks!
Doctors will measure your belly (fundal height) at each checkup to track your baby's growth.
Right now, the top of your uterus might be around your navel, with a fundal height of 7-8.5 inches (18-22 cm).
Fun fact: this number is often close to your week of pregnancy!
With this growing baby comes some serious cravings.
Don't be surprised if you're extra hungry – you are eating for two! Weight gain varies for everyone, but by 20 weeks, you might have gained 10-15 pounds.
Hair and Nails: A Hormonal High Five!
Thank those pregnancy hormones (estrogen and progesterone) for your fabulous hair and nails! Increased circulation brings extra nutrients to these areas.
More estrogen can lead to thicker, shinier hair, while better blood flow to the scalp can boost hair growth overall.
The same goes for your nails – enjoy them while they last!
Remember, every body is different.
If you're not experiencing these changes, don't worry!
Some women see no difference, or even have hair thinning or brittle nails. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
Spice Up Your Love Life:
Feeling frisky?
It's a mix of things! Increased blood flow to your pelvic area can make things more sensitive, and pregnancy hormones can lead to better lubrication, sensitivity, and desire.
Plus, the emotional changes of pregnancy can make you feel closer to your partner.
Embrace your newfound libido and enjoy some intimacy!

Fuel Your Body, Not Your Cravings:
Enjoy healthy, delicious meals!
Focus on lean protein, fresh fruits, and whole grains to nourish you and your growing baby.
While occasional treats are okay, skip the daily pizza or burgers that can lead to unwanted weight gain.
Comfort is Key:
Ditch the tight clothes!
Choose comfy outfits that give you plenty of room to breathe.
Nobody wants to spend their day fighting with a waistband.
Mindful Munching:
Slow down and savor your food.
This helps avoid mindless snacking and keeps you feeling satisfied.
If anxiety strikes, take a deep breath and practice relaxation techniques.
Hair Health:
Pregnancy can make your scalp more sensitive.
Opt for gentle hair products free of harsh chemicals like sulfates and alcohol.
Spicing Up Your Sex Life:
Don't be afraid to experiment with different positions!
You might discover a new favorite.
Remember to listen to your body – take breaks whenever you need them.

- Question: what does the ANATOMY SCAN consist of ? 👀
When is it done ? I go to the Dr Friday & I’ll be 19w & 5d you think they’ll do it at that appointment ? #curious #anxious #excited #babygirlcoming #blessed
I believe it’s usually done at around 20 weeks. Mine was schedule since last month but they told me that’s what it was for because I have to go to a different floor for it. So maybe they’ll do it for you since you’ll be 20 weeks when you go to the appointment

See that’s why I’m dying to go to my anatomy scan. I did the blood test at 11 weeks and it came back that it’s a boy, but I have a three year old boy and he was huge (born 10 pounds) This one is measuring exactly as it should 😭
