What should I buy for my baby?

Baby Must-Haves: The Essentials to Welcome Your Baby
As you prepare to welcome your bundle of joy, it's important to ensure you have the essential items that will provide a safe and comfortable environment for your baby.
Here are some key must-haves to consider:
  • Crib or Bassinet: Providing a safe sleeping space for your baby is crucial. Invest in a sturdy crib or bassinet that meets safety standards, with a firm mattress and fitted sheets.
  • Car Seat: A reliable car seat is essential for ensuring your baby's safety during travel. Choose a car seat that is appropriate for your baby's age and size, and install it correctly according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Diapers and Wipes: Stock up on diapers and wipes, as you'll be using them frequently. Opt for diapers that are hypoallergenic and suitable for your baby's age.
  • Baby Clothing: Have a collection of soft and comfortable baby clothes on hand, including onesies, sleepers, socks, and hats. Consider the weather and choose clothing appropriate for each season.
  • Feeding Supplies: If you plan to breastfeed, consider essentials such as nursing bras, breast pads, and a breast pump. For bottle-feeding, have bottles, nipples, and formula ready.
Nurturing Your Baby's Development and Well-being
In addition to the basic essentials, there are items that can help promote your baby's development and overall well-being.
Here are some important must-haves:
  • Baby Monitor: A baby monitor allows you to keep an eye on your baby while they sleep or play in another room. Choose a monitor with video and audio capabilities for added reassurance.
  • Swaddle Blankets: Swaddling can provide comfort and help your baby feel secure. Have a few soft and breathable swaddle blankets available for your little one.
  • Baby Carrier or Sling: Carrying your baby close to you promotes bonding and provides a sense of security. Consider a baby carrier or sling that offers proper support and allows for hands-free movement.
  • Play Mat or Gym: As your baby grows, they will benefit from tummy time and interactive play. Invest in a play mat or gym that encourages exploration and stimulates their senses.
  • Baby Bathing Essentials: Bath time can be a special bonding experience. Gather essential items such as a baby bathtub, gentle baby soap, soft towels, and a baby brush.
Practical and Convenient Baby Must-Haves
Alongside the essential and developmental items, there are practical items that can make your life as a new parent easier and more convenient.
Consider the following must-haves:
  • Diaper Bag: A spacious and well-organized diaper bag is essential for outings with your baby. Look for a bag with multiple compartments to keep diapers, wipes, bottles, and other necessities organized.
  • Changing Pad: A portable changing pad allows you to comfortably change your baby's diaper wherever you are. Choose a waterproof and easy-to-clean option.
  • Baby Thermometer: A reliable baby thermometer is important for monitoring your baby's temperature. Opt for a digital thermometer that provides quick and accurate readings.
  • Nursing Pillow: For breastfeeding mothers, a nursing pillow can provide support and proper positioning during feeding sessions.
  • Baby Swing or Bouncer: These items can provide soothing and entertaining experiences for your baby, giving you some hands-free moments to attend to other tasks.

Typically, it's recommended to wait until you hit your second trimester. Risk of miscarriage is greatly reduced and you can determine gender. But as with most things, the choice is entirely yours to make ❤️

Okay so I want to go shopping for baby stuff. But the my baby shower is not until November/ December. I have some money specifically for baby items and I would like to spend it now so I don't start being impulsive and getting shit I don't need for myself like extra snacks and shit when im craving. I just feel like I'm being selfish when I spend money for my baby on me. So I wanna just get stuff I need now so I'm not tempted to buy. What should I buy? Things that no matter what I'll need. Because I'm nervous I'll get things and then it ends up being gifted to me at the baby shower. But I would like to buy things now.

HELP!!!! This is my boyfriend & I first baby so we really don’t know what to do but what should we start buying? I’m 23 weeks pregnant. I had a gender reveal that my siblings put together & they asked everyone to bring diapers & wipes and there’s A LOT! But that’s all I have. What order should I buy things in? I do have a registry

A baby wipe warmer is great, and if you plan on breastfeeding look into things to get for that. If you do breastfeed then get vitamin D drops for your baby girl. Best of luck!
