The ultrasound at 5 weeks of amenorrhea

If you haven't had your period in 5 weeks, here's what the ultrasound will show at this stage of your pregnancy.

At 5 weeks of amenorrhea, you're in your third week of pregnancy. On the ultrasound, you'll see a comma-shaped embryo. Does it look tiny to you? At this stage, it's doubling in size every day. Attached to your uterine wall, your 9-month host is slowly beginning to form, while the placenta is forming.

Ask your gynecologist to let you listen to its heartbeat- emotions guaranteed!

I’m currently 10.5 weeks pregnant…I had a little bit of bleeding from Sunday into Monday, but it stopped. Had a fetal echo yesterday and HR was fine. This morning I woke up to a little bit of bleeding again - I have an US later today, but I am feeling very discouraged. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Looking for some positive reinforcement 🫶🏻

I have not experienced this and I am 10.5. However my doctor, which is a fertility specialist, says that unless you are filling up a pad in less than 30 mins, you’re fine. Just stay positive and hydrate. Try some Powerade.

2 weeks ago I went to my high risk doctor and they were doing an echo cardiogram on the babies heart because I have a heart problem and they just wanted to make sure the baby was good. Well his heart looked perfect but they noticed an arrhythmia. The doctor didn't really say he was worried just that I need to come back in 2 weeks to check it again and if it is still there, then I will have to go to the cardiologist for the baby to see what's wrong. Fast forward to today! It's been 2 weeks and I went back to the high risk doctor this morning. They checked the babies heart again and his heart looks and sounds perfect! There is no more arrhythmia! I'm so relieved. One of my biggest fears is passing along a heart problem or my baby developing a heart problem on his own and having to have heart surgery like I did 😰 I feel much better hearing this news today.

This pregnancy has been rough so far... I'm currently 16w 4d and since I've been about 12 weeks I've had heart palpitations. I wore a heart monitor for 14 days and I just had an echo ultrasound. I find out the results on the 8th with a follow up with ob and high risk ob on the 6th for my anatomy scan ultrasound. But now I have this insane headache that is constant but when I bend over it makes me want to black out it hurts so bad and it feels like my head is going to explode.... should I go in sooner?

During my 22 week ultrasound we found out that Babys overall development is 2 weeks behind. All the other reports are fine including anatomy scan , fetal echo so no other issue. Dr is suggesting amniocentesis to rule out the genetic issues. Dr told us that Amniocentesis has 1 in 1000 risk of losing the baby so we are not able to make the decision. Your reply below will help to make that decision. How many here experienced 1. Babys development lag? What was your Drs plan of action to correct it or monitor it? Not sure if it is that common issue. 2. Did amniocentesis? Want to share your experience? Thanks in advance.

At my 20w2d appointment they told me baby is 1 week behind but how she explained it to me was that 1 week is just a couple ounces and ounces are small so to not worry. But now every appointment I get an ultrasound to check babies weight.
