Stay-at-home dad, a job in the making

Gone are the days of the late-night dad, so let's take a closer look at the "stay-at-home dad" job.

  • In the family, it is mom who works.
  • Meanwhile, Dad puts on his apron and takes care of the housework and meal preparation.
  • He also does the shopping and helps the kids with their homework.
  • More than a job, being a stay-at-home dad is a real choice.
  • Many couples are trying to revolutionize the ancestral system. Why not you?

The stay at home life isn’t for every mom - that’s why stay at home dads are a thing now 😌

For reals. I’ve been staying at home for over a year now first because I got a at home job but than got laid off and since I was pregnant i just stayed home and now I’m still here taking care of my baby and girl yes it’s so damn hard. I can’t tell you how bad it was while I was pregnant I think I cried everyday cus I felt so alone. So being at home isn’t for me but I have to right now cus I don’t have someone to watch my baby either.

Hell yes 🙌! That’s what I’m talking about! One more wk then you can rest, lay around and be lazy! I hate to see women that got to work all the way to the end. I did with my first and it was so rough. So good for dad giving you a much needed break! ❤️🙌

I keep thinking about that tbh but at the moment I don’t have the opportunity. In the case that I did I think I would definitely do it for the first year at least. What I decided was to work from home but even thinking about that and having a 2 old month at home it will be really difficult even. I think you should think about the pros and cons and what you think it’s best for you and your baby, again it can just be temporary❤️❤️ good luck

I really want to do that. This is my first baby and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. Unfortunately my baby’s father does not make enough to allow it.

So my husband and I have pretty much decided that I should be a stay at home mom due to our finances and my job hasn’t been giving me full time hours. If there are any stay at home moms out there. Any advice? Are there things I should be doing to teach my little one?

that's actually really hard to do. Unless you find a job where the phone is not part of it. A lot of employers don't like any kind of distractions or noise around. That's kind of difficult with a newborn

Hey mommies, I’m getting to the point where I cannot work in a warehouse and carry packages. I don’t want to be a stay at home mom with no job, anyone have a stay at home job recommendation?

Do they not have a position within your warehouse that’s pregnancy safe? I know when I was at FedEx they just made you a scanner when you were pregnant or working in smalls

Is the issue her wanting to go out and you not feeling up to it? I'm sorry I'm a little confused what you need advice on. Just ways to show her she's loved in general?

I feel like I’m not a social person and I’m not participating as much in her outside activities , I feel like I’m using it as an excuse to stay inside , but I also just want to make her happy how do I do this without going out
