Sex Rules For Pregnancy

The big mistake in discussing pregnancy sex rules
Do Communicate with Your Partner
  • Do communicate openly: Share any concerns or discomfort you may be experiencing with your partner.
  • Do explore different positions: As your body changes during pregnancy, certain positions may be more comfortable than others. Experiment with positions that allow you to control the depth and angle of penetration, such as side-lying, spooning, or woman-on-top positions.
  • Do use plenty of lubrication: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect vaginal lubrication. Ensure you have sufficient lubrication by using a water-based lubricant to enhance comfort and reduce friction during intercourse.
Don't Be Too Rough
  • Don't apply direct pressure on your abdomen: Avoid any activities or positions that put direct pressure on your growing belly. This includes positions where your partner leans on your abdomen or uses it for support. Opt for positions that allow you to maintain a comfortable and relaxed posture, such as side-lying or rear entry positions.
  • Don't engage in rough or vigorous movements: While sexual activity can be passionate, it's important to avoid any jarring or rough movements that may cause discomfort or put strain on your abdominal area.
Do Take Precautions for Health and Safety
  • Do practice safe sex: If you or your partner have multiple sexual partners or there is a risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), always use barrier methods, such as condoms or dental dams, to reduce the risk of transmission. Regularly get tested for STIs and discuss the results with your healthcare provider.
  • Do maintain good hygiene: Ensure both you and your partner practice good hygiene before engaging in sexual activity. Cleanse the genital area thoroughly with mild, unscented soap and warm water. Avoid using scented products, as they can disrupt the natural pH balance and increase the risk of infections.
  • Do consult your healthcare provider: If you have any concerns, questions, or specific medical conditions, consult your healthcare provider for personalized guidance.
Don't Neglect Emotional Connection
Don't neglect emotional intimacy: Remember that sex during pregnancy is not just about the physical act. Emotional connection and intimacy are equally important.
Engage in activities that foster emotional closeness, such as cuddling, kissing, and sharing intimate conversations. Taking the time to connect emotionally can enhance your overall sexual experience.

Has anyone gotten pregnant before getting your first period cycle after a miscarriage? Drs recommend I wait for my first period after needing a d&c for my suspected molar pregnancy. Turned out it was an abnormal pregnancy— miscarriage. Never bled after the procedure. And didn’t want to be on birth control (pill). And my partner and I have been having unprotected sex. Breaking the rules of what my DR recommended. Now I’m worrried that my body won’t be able to support new pregnancy if I were to conceive. Or having complications.

Do y’all have rules that y’all are serious about for during labor or after baby comes??? My main 2 rules…. During labor I don’t want nobody in my room but dad and both grandmas. I just want privacy throughout my time at the hospital. I absolutely do not want people around my baby besides me and dad the first month or 2.

Since I'm doing a water home birth .1 I just want to listen to my body and push when it is ready, too. 2. I don't want my cord cut right away.

It's normal. It's a sensitive area. It's due to the increased hormone levels. My also swells down there as well making sex uncomfortable
