Bleeding during perineal rehabilitation
In the weeks following your delivery, bleeding may occur, especially after perineal rehabilitation sessions.
- Long before your period returns, you may notice some bleeding, possibly containing clots.
- This is part of the uterus healing process.
- Between four and six weeks after birth, your gynecologist or midwife will advise you to start perineal rehabilitation.
- Whether your bleeding started before these sessions or not, your health professional will be able to advise you.
