The post-natal visit to the midwife
Six to eight weeks after giving birth to your baby, a final medical appointment is required: the post-natal visit.
- During this important stage of your recovery, you will answer a series of questions asked by the health professional who will see you: general physical condition and follow-up of particular situations, breastfeeding, or morale.
- Your blood pressure and weight will be checked, and a gynecological examination will be performed to ensure that your uterus is healthy.
- You will receive an update on your contraception method.
- Your doctor will prescribe sessions of perineal re-education if they consider it necessary.
