Post-natal follow-up
After you leave the maternity ward, a medical follow-up is necessary! What does it consist of?
- The post-natal or post-partum follow-up, carried out by a gynecologist, is an important step in your recovery.
- It generally lasts four to six weeks and is reduced to two weeks in the case of a cesarean section.
- The health care provider will monitor your general health (including your blood pressure), examine your breasts, and perform a pelvic exam.
- In addition to routine physical check-ups, topics such as sexuality, baby blues, and general wellness may be discussed during appointments.
