Travelling by plane while pregnant: what are the risks?

Good news! You can travel by plane during your pregnancy. You simply need to know some risks to anticipate them better.

  • Nausea due to motion sickness: take homeopathic pills to reduce these inconveniences.
  • Risk of thrombosis: you should wear compression socks, drink a lot of water, and walk as often as possible down the plane aisle.
  • Giving birth in the air: this is why most airlines will refuse to board you during the last weeks of your pregnancy.
  • Always seek the advice of your pregnancy doctor before planning to travel by plane.

The pregnancy “out of breath” is seriously killing me. The bare minimum task has me gasping for air. Is this normal?

Has any body flown domestically at around 34 weeks pregnant ! My hubby and I have a family reunion for June 20 I’ll be 33 weeks and like 3 days we were gonna go for a few days ! But I’m scared as I have never flown pregnant My OB says she doesn’t recommend flying for anyone over 30 weeks I just want to know is it unsafe for me or the baby ? The air travel ? I have no known complications at this moment fyi
