Your baby has delicate hair, fragile skin, and a sensitive scalp, which is why hair care should be done cautiously.

Hey Mamas!! My little one is 7 weeks, mixed with white and black. I’m not very educated on how to care for his hair, but adamant to learn. Right now he has minimal hair, but the hair that he does have is VERY curly. Im very cautious about the ingredients I put in or on his body. Do y’all have any organic, plant-based, wholesome ingredient products that y’all recommend? Brush? Shampoo & conditioner? Leave-in? Oils? What’s y’all’s routines?

Okay, what’s the best hair care products for my mixed baby? I’ve only ever known shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, hairspray and gel. She has these little ringlet curls but the nurses keep brushing them out so she won’t get cradle cap. All I can find online is kids hair care but I don’t know if I can use kids hair products on my baby. Any advise?

White moms of black biracial children, please take the time to learn how to properly care for your child's skin and natural hair. And for the love of all that is sacred, DO NOT refer to the hair on that baby's head as nappy or not "good hair" just because the texture is different from yours and you can't be bothered to learn how to properly take care of it. Good hair does not translate to "low maintenance" for us. Good hair does not translate to "loose curls" for us. Good hair is healthy hair for us. Be careful how you talk to/ about your kids and their black features because, as parents, our words mean something to these kids. Don't be the one to break your child's spirit with willful ignorance. Take the time to learn for their sake. Please. I'm tired of seeing biracial kids made to be ashamed/hypercritical of who they are and where they came from because their white parents couldn't be bothered to learn the history, care, and culture of the people they chose to procreate with.

Mamas!!! My baby boy is going to be biracial. His dad is black and I am white. I am guessing his hair will be mixed bouncy coil curls. Any tips on how to take care of his care and what products to use and not use? He’s going to be a summer baby.

Anyone else prepping themselves like getting their hair done, etc. a few weeks before baby comes? I know I’m not going to have any energy/time to do all that when she comes and I want to at least look and feel good while taking care of a newborn 😂
