Co-sleeping: pros and cons

To make your baby feel more secure, you can try co-sleeping. Sleeping together has pros and cons:

  • Your baby feels your presence and develops a sense of serenity that benefits them.
  • If you are breastfeeding your baby, you will find it convenient that they are right next to you at night and that you don't have to move around.
  • However, the fact that baby is always in the parental bed can be a hurdle to rekindle your couple's sexuality.
  • Parents sleep better and baby enjoys knowing they are close by, but you have to be careful not to roll over on your baby at night.

How do you guys feel about co sleeping? my Two week old will not sleep in his bassinet , but he sleeps wonderful in the bed because he’s so close to me , that leaves me up laying next to him making sure I hear him breathing

With my son he always slept next to me, I was just always scared something would happen. But with my daughter she’s gonna have to sleep in her bassinet, my son still comes in and sleeps w me and his dad lol

My newborn only sleeps at night if we co sleep but personally I'm against co sleeping because of the risks. The only reason I'm doing it now is because I can't roll over due to the c section so I just hold her. how do I fix this? 😩😩😩

I wrap my boy in a tight swaddle and hold, rock, and pat hid booty til he falls asleep and I wait like 5 minutes and then transfer him to crib. I also use a white noise machine next to his head in crib. Sometimes he will wake up and cry but it will only last for maybe 10minutes max am he falls asleep. Sometimes I have to pick him up and rock him again. Also I put a hat on him only at night when he sleeps so he’s extra cozy.

Include something with your scent on it or you could swaddle him.

Having trouble breaking my son who is 1 year and 8 months out of co-sleeping. If tried sitting in the room with him and he screams. The doctor recommended melatonin that doesn’t work. I even but his bed in my room and that doesn’t work. I need advice because I don’t know what else to do.

I know imma get judged for this picture but oh well. I didn’t have one of those co-sleeping bassinet things so I improved. Only one nurse had an issue with it so I guess it wasn’t terrible- it was the only position baby girl could really get cozy in😅🥲
