The benefits of breast milk

Nature's way: the milk you produce provides your child with everything they need to develop properly.

  • Many scientific studies have proven the health benefits of breastfeeding.
  • Breast milk protects against respiratory and gastrointestinal infections.
  • It's hypoallergenic and very digestible.
  • It reduces the risk of infant overweight, inflammatory diseases, and sudden death (SIDS).
  • The composition of breast milk changes depending on the baby's age.
  • Finally, breastfeeding your child creates a special emotional bond and a real moment of sharing between you two.

I was able to get in touch with an online pediatrician and learned my breast milk will help her not get sick and I can drink my own breast milk to help with the symptoms of my cold 😳 so what you are telling me is that breast milk is magic potion ⭐️🤍

It does have antibodies in it. My son stayed way healthier when he was breastfeeding than when he stopped.

Any advice for breast feeding and boosting milk supply? I’ve been feeding my baby formula and my breast milk for now until I produce more. I produce about 2 ounces on each breast when I pump for 20 mins.

Drink lots of water especially while pumping or breastfeeding, the more you breastfeed the more you produce

Make sure you have the right sized flange. Try lactation supplements. Power pumping. Staying hydrated. Eat foods that are lactation healthy (Oats, almonds, flax seed, fenugreek, whole grains, protein heavy foods). Try not to stress.

Drinking more Milk can help with that. Pumping more often will as well.

I've heard drinking Body Armor water can help, don't skip feeding (if baby sleeps longer - pump), don't wait until your breasts feel full(this causes you to stop producing milk)...Hope this helps.

Hydration is key. I drink 64oz of water on top of two bottles of bodyarmor and a snapple. I also have protein milkshakes in my ice coffee. I eat Lactation cookies and oatmeal for breakfast. And make sure I get 500 extra calories in a day to make sure it has fat content for baby. I've been taking prenatals since I got pregnant and still take them now four months after birth. This has helped me so much in my stash. I've been breastfeeding my daughter and giving supply to my sister's 6month old boy. She took 50oz Sunday and I still have 100oz in the freezer.

The stupid bag fell off from being too full I guess, but I just pumped like 8 oz out of each boob & yes I’m mad cause my boobs were engorged all night & hurting so I needed every ounce to compensate for all that pain last night😩😩😂😂😂

Ok serious question! I’m thinking about formula over breast feeding but I’ve read breast milk helps baby grow better? Any feedback from moms on breast feeding vs formula!? ☺️
