Vegetable purée for babies: a great discovery

The great taste adventure begins! With the diversification of food, babies will discover new flavors week after week, thanks to gourmet purees.

  • That's it, you've decided to introduce new flavors to your baby! Be careful though, there are a few rules to follow.
  • During the first few days, offer single-vegetable purées, by using a spoon at lunchtime before the bottle.
  • You can offer the baby a new vegetable every three days.
  • If she refuses, you can put a spoonful in his bottle.
  • Green beans, carrots, squash, and zucchini can be cooked and blended well without salt for the first few weeks.
  • From 8 months onwards, purees can contain very soft chunks.

Carrots are much harder to make than you’d think lol, they don’t break down into purées very well 🙃

Yep you right. And potatoes too depending how long you boil them. Yesterday I made green peas and white rice and my baby ate all of it. He loves it.❤️😍😊🎉😂

The first solid I gave her was a strawberry and she loves them so much lol Then I gave her a banana she didn't like it but I still give it once in a while I tried eggs and she had a reaction Now she has puffs she eats almost everyday and she hasn't tried anything new yet we are waiting for our EBT to come in for this month

Need help! My son is almost 9 months old, the last couple of days he just dosent want anything to eat. Normally for breakfast he gets oatmeal with chopped fruit and a 4oz bottle at 7-8am… he won’t eat no more then 2-3 spoons then pushes it away For lunch he gets a fruit purée around 12pm… eats 2-3 spoons then pushes it away and will throw a fit if we keep trying For dinner he gets a meat purée with a vegetable around 5pm and of course a couple spoons and then pushes it away and will spit it out at me… Throughout the day he will get a bottle (when he wakes up at 4am, after breakfast, after lunch and after dinner for bed time) and he has snacks around 9-10am and 2-3pm He eats what we are eating too (seems to want it more then his purées) Im just at a loss

Growth spurt ☠️. My baby has been going through changes for almost a month now. Wakes up every hour at night, extremely fussy, wants to drink and eat everything. It’s chaos

My 1 year old cannot eat cooked table food on his own I have to make puree for him. I even tried soft cooked foods but he cannot eat them he will bite and spit them on floor. Is this normal? Is it safe for him to eat solid or puree foods since it is homemade? The only thing he can eat on his own is banana and bread toast

I think some babies/toddlers just eat slower. My daughter took a little bit longer also. By the time she was 1 she was only eating a handful of table food and by the time she was close to 1 and a half she was on all table food :)

Does the green bean puree give babies gas? My 5 month old tried them for the first time and it seems like his tummy is hurting him and he’s really gassy.🥺
