Ladies... I need help! I have a 1 month old and she always wants to be held. Also her sleep schedule is sleep all day and up all night . During the day I do everything I can to keep her up and she still falls asleep. Now at night all she does is cry. I can't hold her all night. So when I try to put her down to sleep she cries real loud. I will give her a pacifier and she will take it for like 2 minutes and then spit it out. Its so bad that my 7 year old is complaining that she can't sleep. I make sure she is fed and that her diaper is clean. What can I do to stop the crying ?(without holding her all night) How can I keep her up during the day? How do I get her to sleep at night? Help!!

How and when did you stop breastfeeding ? My little is about to be 1 and I feel more than ready to stop breastfeeding, but I don't think he's ready. Last night I refused to give him my boob and he cried for what seemed like forever. I would appreciate any tips. 🥲 #breastfeeding #weaning

I've been a full time stay at home mom for over a year im just now getting the hang of getting everything done with a 10 month old and I'm actually enjoying it and she's still breastfeeding but hubby has been telling me lately that he wants to quit and I should start looking for a job that pays as much as his..he says being a stay at home parent is easy... I don't know how to stop breastfeeding (First time breastfeeding) I don't have any social skills anymore. I feel completely defeated. First a hard pregnancy that made me stop working before I wanted to the then ppd with no support then working on "getting over it" now I need to stop doing what I've done for 1 1/2 year to work full time.

I’d tell him to find another job that he wants then. You shouldn’t have to quit breastfeeding because he just decides he wants to quit. That’s not even fair, to you or baby. And being a stay at home parent isn’t easy. Let him try it for a full week without your help for how ever many hours out do the day that he works. And let him be the only one who gets up with the baby. He will change his mind. My husband doesn’t wanna be stay at home cause he knows it’s not easy to keep up with the house feed myself feed baby take care of her and me and then make dinner for him and then be up. Like men can clock out of their work, we can’t. We are moms 24/7.

Okay so I just found out I’m having my second baby, I had my son a year and 1 month ago, he’s fully breastfed and it’s really hard to get him to stop nursing at night, during the day he does so good with whole milk… I’m just worried he’s going to drink the new baby’s colostrum or something, I don’t want to sound stupid but I just don’t know what to expect…

Everything I have seen says that it's perfectly fine for them both to nurse. It's called tandem nursing so you can look into yourself!

I breast fed my daughter until I was 6 months pregnant. I tried to wean her when I found out I was pregnant. She ended up stopping cold turkey months later. The taste of the milk does change and they won’t like it. It was nice though because I didn’t gain too much weight during my pregnancy

Did you try adding whole milk and breast milk together with cereal . I chose not to breastfed with my 1st only because he wasn’t latching on , but when it was time to get him off of milk all together I would put formula and 1 % milk with some cereal and he wouldn’t night feed . Hope this helps

Make sure he goes to the bathroom before bed. You can also wake him up in the middle of the night to have him go potty and then back to sleep. The night time pull ups or whatever are for accidental leaks and not a full on diaper where it’s going to absorb a nights worth. But me switching my son to underwear at night really helped him make sure he gets up cuz it’s a different kind of wet if they pee. Just make sure you have a waterproof mattress cover if you’re going to try that route. Also maybe try rewards in the morning if he stays dry all night. Like make/get him his favorite breakfast or reward with a piece of candy at some point in the day. Kids tend to like rewards to solidify learning things. And then hopefully once he gets it down you can always cut down the daily rewards to weekly then monthly and then eventually tail it off so no rewards but hopefully a dry bed all night

How can I get my 1-year-old to stop breastfeeding sometimes she uses my nipple like a pacifier or she won't take a pacifier

A pacifier mimics the breast. Not the other way around, so she isn't using you like a pacifier. Babies use pacifiers to mimic the breast, but breastfed babies know the real thing and most of them will not take a paci. None of my three EBF girls ever took one 😩. It's also more than pacifying for her, so try to keep that in mind. Breastfeeding is more than food... it's comfort, security, warmth, building a bond and you're her world. She will eventually wean, and you will start to miss it, as it's bittersweet, but for now, try to enjoy it and allow her to realize when she's done on her own. I know it's hard, my oldest breastfed until 3+ years, and I'm still breastfeeding my 3yo and 19mo. They do slow down and eventually become uninterested, especially as milk dries up because of pregnancy and nursing less, etc. I hope it all works out for you!

My question is how do you get your 2 year old to sleep in the toddler bed through the night

Mine is hit or miss but usually he will stay if he is super tired or if we let him go to sleep with a cup. Sometimes they wake up just because they need a drink. Sometimes he will still wake up around 2am and join us but I try to take him back to his bed after he falls back asleep.

Honestly? My 5 year old slept in her crib in our bedroom until she was about 3 1/2. We got her a toddler bed and assembled it while I was on vacation. We knew it would be a difficult transition so we slept in the room with her that whole week. When she fell asleep we would get up and go to bed. But she wouldn't fall asleep until about 3:30-4am. After that week, I told my fiancé that sister girl was on her own. Eventually she got used to it.

My supply is dropping because of giving a bottle during the day if I have to run errands and what not. His pediatrician said that if I'm wanting to increase supply, pump 15 minutes on each breast every 2 hours. It's supply and demand so if you don't feed often, you'll start producing less. If you feed more often, you'll start to produce more.
