Can you take a pregnancy test on your period and when is the best time to take it?

hey ladies so it’s been 2 weeks and 5 days since i waited to take a pregnancy test and i was supposed to get my period yesterday but i didn’t so do you think i should take a test right now or wait?😞

When's the earliest you can take a test that's the most accurate? I took a pregmate pregnancy test at 9dpo and it was negative I had light pink spotting at 6 and 7 dpo tho and I've had cramps and nausea for a couple of days and bad headaches, I'm doing my best to hold out till the 27th when my period is supposed to come to see if it comes but it's so hard to wait and I don't want to get a blood test done lol
